Chaddlewood's Sporting Success 2018/2019
3rd May- PSSP Plympton Family tag rugby tournament
 
3 teams were sent along to this 'warm up' friendly event at Plympton Academy.  There were some brilliant line breaks, great trys and some fantastic tags being made.  Well done.
27th March- PSSP Key Stage 1 multi skills festival
 
12 children from foundation- year 2 went along to Plympton Academy to take part in the skills based festival. The activities ranged from tests of skill and accuracy with the Bean Bag Throw; team events such as a Sprint Relay and Ladder Relay; speed and agility with the Speed Bounce and even a test of strength with the Chest Push challenge. The children had a lovely time and it was amazing to see them  enjoying been physically active and challenged.  Overall we finished 4th- well done Chaddlewood!
5th February- Plympton Academic Trust Dodgeball at Woodford
 
12 children from years 3 and 4 were selected to attend the dodgeball festival at Woodford.  The children really enjoyed the afternoon and represented the school really well.
5th February- PSSP Boccia event.
 
Two teams were sent along to the boccia event at Plympton Academy.  Both teams really enjoyed the games and showed great respect and some good skill too.  Well done.
29th January- PSSP Indoor Rowing Championships
 
8 Children from Years 5 and 6 represented the school at the Plymouth Indoor Rowing Competition at Plymstock School on Tuesday. They all rowed brilliantly and the team came 4th in the relay event. Well done to Ema, Mac, Finley, Kian, James, Poppy, Lucy and Ruby.
24th January- Plympton academic Trust year 5/6 Gymnastics competition
Dylan, Tiana, Finley, Jessica, Emmie, Ava, Evie, Gracie, Keira, Summer and Emily represented our school brilliantly at a PAT Gymnastics competition at Glen Park Primary School.  Each child performed an individual routine and then performed a routine as a group. Summer was placed 3rd overall. Well done to all of the children!
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
14th January- PPSP High Five netball tournament
 
7 year 5 students were chosen to represent the school at Plymouth Marjon University.  They played 6 games and learnt a lot from this competitive tournament.  Well done girls! 
17th January- Year 3/4 Plympton Academic Trust Alternative Sport Festival
 
12 children from years 3 and 4 got the chance to try out a variety of different sporting activities at this event, including: archery. fencing and tri-golf.  All children thoroughly enjoyed participating in this event and came away with lots of new skills learnt. 
8th November- Year 5/6 Plympton Academic Trust Quick Sticks Hockey Festival
 
12 children went along to Boringdon school to play a hockey festival. All children enjoyed the event and represented the school well showing great teamwork and skill.  Well done to all involved.
9th October- Year 5/6 Plympton Academic Trust Tag Rugby Festival.
 
8 children represented the school at the Plympton Academic Trust tag rugby festival at Glen Park, finishing 1st. Thomas was awarded Sport Superstar, based on his athleticism, sportsmanship and focussed attitude throughout the competition. Harvey was also recognised as showing exceptional sportsmanship during the competition. Great Work to all involved!
