School Council

Our School Council is democratically elected by children within the school.  Each class holds an election for 2 representatives on the council whilst the Leader and Deputy are elected by the entire school.
 
The aim of the School Council is to improve our school and to help our community.  Last year, we raised money for a variety of local and international charities in addition to organising a Disability Week and collecting books for schools in South Africa.  We also supported Pledge Plymouth, collecting 167 pledges from students and raised money for supporting work in Africa to fight against Ebola.  Our Leader and Deputy have represented our school at regional meetings and have also recently met with the Children's Commissioner to discuss children's rights.
 
This year, each class is raising money for a charity that they have chosen.  Key stage 1 are having a Pyjama Day at the end of term to raise money for a children's hospice - have a look at what Key Stage 2 classes are doing:
